Baan Aomjai is about easy warmth and cleanliness. We are a modest five-bungalows operation with facilities for both holiday guests as well as extended residencies for artists and writers. We believe in providing an affordable, fun, and creative space for all.
Every unit is a standalone bungalow with its own outdoors space to give our guests privacy. All studios and bungalows have fans as well as air-con units. Our beds are made in-house with welded steel frames designed to support heavy sleepers without squeaking or flexing. Guests enjoy our pure latex mattresses, recommended for those with back issues. With the exception of The Loft Studio, our units are built to be elder-friendly and wheelchair accessible. Our terrace lounge is a communal space for socializing and relaxation, equipped with board games, books and a Bluetooth stereo. In addition to beverages on the menu, we offer complimentary tea, coffee, water and seasonal fruits. We maintain a firm rule for quiet hours between 11:30 PM to 7 AM.
We strongly recommend that guests have some type of transportation (bicycle, motorbike or car) at their disposal as Baan Aomjai is approximately 2.5km to the town center. Short term visits at Baan Aomjai can be booked through AirBnB. For stays longer than two weeks, we recommend making reservation by contacting us by email or our Facebook page.

Coco Bungalow is a standalone 80 sqm house with 2 air-con bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It is fully equipped with one king-size bed, one queen-size bed, dressers, hot water shower, living room set, kitchen, stove, refrigerator, TV, fan and free wifi. The large 16 sqm kitchen has a bar-dining counter and plenty of space to cook up a feast. The 16 sqm private rear terrace has two large stone benches and a wood dining set, perfect for BBQ and private parties. Guests like this bungalow for its bright, spacious quality.

The Loft Studio is a popular space for limber writers and artists who enjoy climbing a ladder to sleep in a nest-like loft. It has 20sqm of interior space equipped with air-con, fan, kitchenette, refrigerator, mini built-in closet under the ladder, private bathroom with hot water shower and solid Burmese wood furnishing. This studio is not recommended for elderly guests or those who are physically challenged.
Mimosa Studio

Mimosa is a favorite for hermits, writers and the elderly. At 12 sqm, it represents ultra-compact living in the "Tiny Home" spirit. At the requests of many guests who use the studio for meditation, reading and the creative arts, there is no TV in the room; however, it has all the other amenities such as air-con, Wifi, fan, kitchenette, refrigerator and private bathroom with hot water shower. The bathroom is extremely narrow, at just 1 meter wide, quite similar to its equivalent on a sailboat. It was designed for a frequent Mimosa resident who is diminutive in size, elderly and has a fear of slipping in the shower. A narrow bathroom allow the occupant to brace against every wall at anytime to prevent falling. It has two windows facing the rear garden and a fish pond, making it the most secluded and quiet unit on the property. In addition, it has a private outdoor sitting area which is shaded from the morning sun, allowing for a serene breakfast next to the fish pond.
Baan Aomjai Amenities & Facilities
Our terrace sala is the focal point of social life at Baan Aomjai. It is open to all guests, residents and friends from 7AM to 11PM. We host regular birthday parties, BBQ potlucks, Karaoke extravaganzas and movie nights. We also have self-service laundry and filtered drinking water facilities, exercise areas (TRX, pull-up bars, high steps, & weight bench) and even a one-of-a-kind hair washing chaise. We fire up our BBQ range, mini tandoori oven and wood-fired brick oven for pizzas and other goodies on a regular basis.
